Member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU), portrait painter, graphic artist, university professor.
Born in 1927 in Prilep. In 1949 he finished the High School of Arts in Skopje, and in 1952 he graduated from the Academy of Painting Arts in Belgrade. He worked as a high school teacher, taught at the Pedagogy Academy and after the establishment of the Academy of Painting Arts at the university in Skopje he became a full tenure lecturer. Member of the art groups “Denes” (Today) and “Mugri” (Dawn).
With a large number of independent exhibitions of paintings and graphics he presented himself in front of the audiences at home and abroad: Skopje, Belgrade, Alexandria, Dijon, Berlin etc. Author of critiques and essays about painting arts. He established his art identity while searching the architectural shapes and structures expressed in the Macedonian church art, in Macedonian folklore and in the everyday life. Well known author of numerous book illustrations.
Member of MANU since 1991. Winner of a number of domestic and foreign awards and prices among which is the highest Macedonian award “11 October” for life work. He died in 1993 in Skopje.
